Is genetics an important area of research in the medical field in your opinion?
I’d like to be a geneticist so I want to know if that particular area of work is something people would seek and/or support.

yes genetics is VERY important. whenever someone is sick the first thing people look at is their genetics…for example, many diseases and cancers are caused due to genetics

And quite profitable, if you can help hook up the products of drug companies with the patients whose genetics will allow them to benefit from their drugs.
Genetics research is quite important in medical sense.
As life grows; things changes; foods, environment; quality of air and water; age; body structure; etc.
During all these process; genes either change on its own by its own genetic coding or by the influence of surroundings.
If we understand the structure; the process of changes; arrangement; and the function of each genetic component; then we would have a better way to control our genes and can suppress the bad genetic changes like cancel; heart disease; etc. etc.
The thing that I don’t agree with is the cloning of human genes; which in terrorist’s hands can become big human disaster. Well, some scientist are crazy as we all know.
If you have a good heart; good intention; Genetic research is an exciting and could be rewarding field. In years to come you may save millions of life.
