My teacher is not providing me with much guidance–this school has no curriculum (!!). I am about to teach a genetics unit and I was just wondering how you, if you teach high school bio, would go about the order of the following topics:
DNA
DNA replication
Transcription/Translation
Mitosis/Meiosis
Inheritance and Heredity
Human genetics
Biotechnology
Thanks!

If you are are aware you have alcoholism in your family and your spouse has been diagnosed as bi-polar should you not have a child together because fo the likelihood of the turn out?
When parent is bi-polar it’s likely that the child also will be carry that gene. When you throw alcoholism into the mix, it’s almost GUARANTEED? What’s you opinion?
Just because of genetic defects that are not your fault, should that deny you a family?

My parents didn’t go to college and my grandparents and on were all farmers. So I basically came from an uneducated background, and in school my friends all tell me how slow I am when it comes to common sense. Also when there are tests I have to study extra to get the materials through my head, while my other friend barely studies and get the same grades as me. Is it true that genetics affects you intelligence? Like I can become smart through books and become book smart but, when it comes to street smart its all genetics.
