We see the Holocaust, Virginia Tech shooting, and terrorist attacks and see the original intent of the perpetrators. We can see their history and the world they grew up in, and perhaps their actions become humanized in the process. Were these people bound to perform these actions because of how they grew up? To what extent are parents, friends, religion influential to peoples actions? Is there a factor outside of the two listed in the question?
