I know that it is a sex linked gene on the X chromosome, or I could be wrong. So is that why they tell you that if you look at your mother’s father that is a good indication? However, I have heard that the mother’s father is not the only indicator. Can someone please clarify?

Some people have bulky muscle’s and some people have wirey-like muscle…..Some people with the same amount of strength look really buff while others just look toned.
I am stronger than alot of people yet my muscle doesn’t seem to be bigger than theirs. Does genetics have a factor into this?

I am registered for a class needed for my major in Biochem, BIOL 210 – Genetics. The description of the course is “Principles of modern and classical genetics.” which is very vague.
I was wondering what type of content will be taught in this course. Will it be just Transcription, Translation, and regulation of gene expression stuff?
Or will it be completely different?
–thanks for any insites
