My maternal grandfather and my brother are both color blind. I am assuming it passed through my mother to my brother. Is it possible that I am a carrier of the color blind gene from my mother? I now have a son who is almost 3 and I am beginning to suspect that he is also color blind. I was told that genetically he shouldn’t be color blind, that it skips a generation. But, if I got the carrier gene from my mother, then he has a chance to be color blind?
